I enjoy your thoughts, and detect again an almost fatalistic angry outlook. You are right about the government being in the pockets of big business. Undoubtedly, they (business) are calling the shots and writing foreign policy. But the US can't survive as the world headquarters for big business alone. There is a constituency of common people who they cannot forever ignore. And, there is a larger world-wide constituence of nations and peoples.

What you so correctly see now is not forever sustainable in the long run in my opinion. In fact, I think the cracks are begining to appear even now. All it takes is for one jurisdiction to blow the whistle. I know that will take guts, because it could trigger a catastrophic event.

I too can see the dishonesty in all levels in society emanating from up high. It angers me too, spins, lies, half-truths and self-serving rhetoric. This corruption will surely bring down this society.

You are more pessimistic about society than I. There are many good people in the US, and some agree with your point of view. The society is being manipulated, but like I said, you can't fool them all all the time.

Thanks again for your thoughts.
