Voters want Arnold to debate Davis now. If he ducks it and Dvais goes on Larry King alone, the polls could change quickly. Arbnold has already done every talk show in town. What's left for him? Voters also wants specifics. What will Arnold cut to balance the budget? Where is the pain going to be felt? It has to be felt somewhere. Will he tax the rich or let them off the hook? Meanwhile almost all newspapers in Cali are endorsing Davis as of today and Davis has 9 days to wheel in more big guns. Perhaps there would also be a late-minute Arnold scandal. There is a lot more dirt on Arnold than has been revealed. This fight ain't won yet. Arnold has potential weakness with about 3/4ths of the electorate which could be exploited. Moderate white males and some GOP party-loyalists is really his only base.
