Sounds like great novel, but I hate to hit you with some reality.

Debt consists of money already lent. There is no $200 billion. All of Iraq ain't worth that now. It's like a bankrupt WorldCom. No amount of chest beating is going to come up with that debt. There will be no profit.

Eventually, France and Russia will have to settle for pennies on the dollar, just like WorldCom creditors. The people who "profited" are long gone, viz., Saddam and his cronies.

You need to understand the difference between asset and debt. Asset = good = value. Debt = liability = bad.

There is no profit to assuming debt, not that we are doing that, unless we got the mooola in the first place.
