Judging from the size of that, I think the doctoring industry had more to do with Faultline's survival than a supernatural being having a special interest in Ken. In Osama's book, Allah was falling down on the job when he had another infidel right there in his grasp. Ken slipped right through his fingers. I suppose that means that the Christian triad [father, son and holy ghost - not to mention Mary, and women in the USA are NOT just innocent bystanders] is more powerful than Allah, who has to work alone.
