I think some people are employees of the CIA and while it is not criminal to reveal it it is imprudent. Perhaps this is one of those moments. I don't really know as both sides seem to be at odds on the significance.

Again, I would ask, why would Novak be so oblivious to blowing a covert agent's cover, except if he knew she wasn't and it was merely bad form, as the Brits would say.

The owner of the Anaheim Angels was talking to a free agent shortstop and it was hinted that it was improper and could be construed as tampering, whereas if he'd talked to A-Rod of the Texas Rangers no one would have cared as he is on a long term contract.
