Re: humans versus the cosmos, which is out to get us.

Now remarkably paranoid. The cosmos is, in reality, quite indifferent to the human condition. Which is, in itself, perhaps little more than a cosmic kerfuffle and an anomalous episode of consciousness. The ability of mankind to make a living isn't that far removed from that other species, albeit, we do dominate this one planet alone. But we certainly don't dominate any other planet, any other solar system, or any other galaxy.

We are unique, picaresque and in the final analysis something of a miraculous development in the cosmos. But the cosmos clearly doesn't have it in for us. Else the human species would have failed millenia ago.
