I agree, Nadine, that the Reps had policy differences with Clinton. And you've nailed the most serious ones.

My argument is that the present contrast between the public Republican animus toward Clinton, which was not about his policies but about his personal mistakes, and that toward Bush which is/was all about his policies.

The Reps were clearly wrong about the economic consequences of Clinton's deficit reduction measures in 93; and they still have not addressed the serious issue of the numbers of medically uninsured.

So one wonders about their policy differences.
