I once had a friend who had an apartment in Monaco (I understand you cant actually OWN it) and he was VERY rich, always inviting me to visit but I never got around to it. It may surprise you to know he was LEBONESE. Through him I learned A LOT about the Arab divisions etc. I know its far too complicated for any SANE PERSON to understand, especially me. haha.
I have travelled throughout S.E. Asia and never had any problems with any one. Never been to Europe though. Have MANY S. American friends (none Chilean) from Equador, Argentina, Guatamala, Columbia etc. You are the FIRST person to ever tell me Chileans didnt like us as heck I was EVEN THINKING of moving to Chile as I understand they have a large American community there and in the mountains its pretty comfortable. So thats a surprise to me. I live in S. Fla. Spanish here is our FIRST language. (gg).
As to the Kurds, personally, I have heard a number of GOOD THINGS about them from an intelligence officer that was assigned predominately to that area. She was present AT THE SITE when we had that unfortunate friendly fire accident. She made me feel as though the Kurds really like us. But, I hope they will come around as it just isnt going to happen that they get their own country. Turkey wouldnt stand for it, nor would the other Iraqi's. JDN
