I am just saying that if Clinton was the former CEO of a company doing exclusive business in a war started by himself, reps would be screaming the halls of congress and senate.

I can't speak for others, but my criteria are objective. I would scream about Cheney or Clinton either one, IF there were financial ties to the company. Or if he had been involved in the process of selecting that company. Or if the company's qualifications were at issue.

But what you've alleged is simply insufficient to show any appearance of conflict or undue influence. There are no financial ties (as we discussed last week); HAL is clearly the best firm on Earth for the job to be done; and Cheney was in no was associated with the process of hiring HAL.

How, exactly, do you address the fact that there is no evidence Cheney had anything to do with the letting of this contract? These are career, nonpolitical employees who did this; if Cheney had been involved this would have been plastered all over the media -- biggest scandal of the century.
