I think the difference in the extent that someone is forcing their views on others is crucial.

OK, let's talk about that. Here we have auntie sitting there quietly in her simple cotton outfit dabbing her eyes with a handkerchief when the bride says "I do." The other guests are presumably doing the same thing, not looking at Auntie. If they saw her at all, they may have thought she was a jerk for dressing that way, maybe found her dress rude. They don't have a clue what her views are or why she is dressed oddly.

OTOH we have Mojo, who would have to actually articulate his views to anyone who stopped by for a massage but didn't meet his criteria. Sorry, folks, I don't take clients like you but here's Cousin Myrna's card.

I think that parallel is close enough. If anything, though, Mojo's views are more out front. And being turned away has a greater impact on someone that merely having one's eye caught by a rude jerk who happened to be within sight. That's like saying a wino on the street is forcing his views on others. I don't see Auntie having the lead in view forcing, at all.
