Do you disagree with Bush's proposal? I think it was that the top X% of a high school were treated as equal rankings, or something like that. That seemed fair to me.

You foolishly assume that SAT captures all of the important distinctions in applicants.

Affirmative action does not prevent any group from attending, it only seeks to ensure that any one group does not take all the slots. Discrimination is the process of preventing a group from being represented. They are distinctly different processes even though both are affected by a limited number of openings.
