‘I Admired Hitler’

"In the final days of his campaign, Schwarzenegger may be battling yet another opponent: his own past."

Actually, he's getting more mileage out of those publicity-seeking provocations than he ever dreamed possible when he made them!

'I Admired Hitler'

That's just candid. For myself, I don't see how anyone who comes from a humble background and is driven to seek fame, wealth and power - as Arnold obviously is - can help but be fascinated by Hitler's rise. Particularly a German or Austrian. Hitler was the 20th century's most succesful demagogue.

Of course, it's absolutely un-PC. It doesn't really bother me. I'm bothered much more by the PC tendency to avoid the problem of evil, and replace the problem by instructing students to say "Hitler was evil" as if Hitler alone was evil.
