Hi Lizzie, You can bet your bottom dollar I'm in the trenches. Sleeves rolled up alongside a bunch of hard-working engineers who are doing their darndednest to make software that makes jobs obsolete. And not by merely shooshing jobs overseas, but by replacing them with silicon, steel and untiring electrons. Who are willing to work without a peep of complaint for pennies a kilowatt hour. And you can't get foreign labor that cheap. Do I feel guilty? Nope. Not in the least. It's capitalism at its finest. And the global economy is at work making you redundant. That too is capitalism. When we unleashed the Internet and made corporate knowledge ubiquitously available irrespective of geography, we created a global job market in the knowledge industry. Well done. Now we get to live with the consequences.
