And unfortunately this simple minded

It may be simple minded, but I believe it is factual. The Palestinians don't want peace. As has been pointed out time and time again, they could have had the best deal there were going to get in the 90s and Arafat walked away from it, choosing instead to continue raising a generation of hate-filled terrorists.

Unfortunately, when people are raised in this manner, the only solution is for them to die; you can't simply "re-train" them. Long-term, you can try to change the attitudes in the area (for example, by freeing a neighboring country and helping them build an economy which will support a dignified lifestyle for its people, so that they can see there is hope). But these people who have grown up in a cult of anti-Americanism are destroyed for life and many will never lead a peaceful existence. It is pitiful that these people can't try to work with the Israelis, but clearly, they have no plans to do so.

The Administration has taken magnificent steps toward an improvement in the situation, only to have them torpedoed once again by Arafat and the terrorists.

Israel needs to defend itself using everything it has.

In his post re the Palestinians, I believe D. Ray was suggesting genocide. Why am I not surprised?
