Nobody is denying Arnold talked about admiring Hitler. He can't deny it either. All he can do is say he's changed and now hates Nazism. Fair enough. He's changed. But it's still something he said and it goes to basic character. So does groping and harrassing. Even if he's stopped doing it (and who knows if he has?) it's still part of his life, his choices in life, his manner, his attitude toward women, sex, sick snse of humor, his own ego trip, etc. Bottomline, the GOP has been stabbing much more competent McClintock in the back and have become total hypocrites just to get some star power. Fact is, McClintock may beat Arnold now anyway. So why keep defending him? None of the GOP operatives even know Arnold that well. But those who do know him know he has a dark side. That dark side goes very much to character, and character counts.
