Finance of Yahoo allows you to create a portfolio and the number of shares for any particular code can be 0 or more so you can mix quotes for companies you actually hold with those you are just thinking about. Also you get a sum of the total value. You can denominate in Euros or Canadian Dollars, US dollars, whatever you choose. The only thing you can't put on the list is physical or paper metals, such as gold. The portfolio list has to be of shares only. The whole thing is very convenient. You can even put cash in with the line
$$$ 5000
for example if you have 5000 or maybe you have 10000000? The system can include any amount.

gumnam, most of the "pile up" was in the EUR not JPY. Every night last week Japan was selling JPY to keep it above 110.5 to the USD.

We may have a brief and sharp correction to the EUR but not sure about the JPY.

As to currencies in general I noticed a 7 day cycle in each move and strangely it is correlated to GANN turn dates which I will follow now more closely.

Hi Gumnam, <<MTF>> I have Tokyo Mitsubishi Finance, Mitsubishi Real Estate, and NTT Docomo from TSE, they are all up from when I bought them last November but had in the interim dunked scarily. I have them because I figured any fund/index based buying would have to include them.

<<Track>> system … I use the following:

(a) Yahoo Finance with five Watch & Brief Portfolios

Hong Kong: (I include the codes for those who wish to borrow, so as to better participate in a mania, simply copy and paste into Yahoo portfolio and presto … ) 2388.HK 2868.HK 0694.HK 8222.HK 0001.HK 0941.HK 0762.HK 0291.HK 1138.HK 0883.HK 1199.HK 0525.HK 0388.HK 0054.HK 0005.HK 0013.HK 0177.HK 0494.HK 0066.HK 0917.HK 0708.HK 0857.HK 8002.HK 1098.HK 0363.HK 1207.HK 0069.HK 0548.HK 0016.HK 0386.HK 0598.HK 0983.HK 8001.HK 0696.HK 1171.HK 0576.HK ^HSI ^HSLR

(b) Microsoft Money 2003 to track my investment, business and personal accounts, tracking holdings in appropriate currencies by accounts linked to respective cash accounts, noting exchange rate at purchase and sale times

(c) MS Money-Pocket Money: I link my MS Money file to my HP/Compaq iPaq Pocket Money

(d) MS Money to Excel: I link my MS Money to a custom designed Excel spreadsheet (see microsoft.com ) which in turn is also synched to my HP/Compaq iPaq Excel, and keeps me aware up to each Internet session, of all currency allocations, industry concentration, portfolio sectors, value to the minute, exchange rates, YTD gains and losses, etc)

(e) News Updates: I signed on with some free websites that updates me by daily e-mail on news/announcements concerning selected companies in Australia, S.Africa, and Canada (energy royalties)

(f) News Letters and Websites: I keep track of these sites via Yahoo links, but also aggregated here for friends and family, and I subscribe to a subset of the newsletters but occasionally get the rest via friends achamchen.com

(g) Website: I aggregate corporate websites of watched companies here achamchen.com

(h) Trades: I aggregate all my trades reports to Pezz here achamchen.com , for all the mistakes to be seen, so as to enforce a discipline I value

(i) Lunches, Conversations, E-mails, and SI: and then I watch the watchers and welcome alternate opinions, especially the sort that forces me to make 180 degree turns

I occasionally read annual/quarterly reports, and every so often create Excel models to better understand the not-understandable.

Chugs, Jay
