So, he admired Hitler and his power but not what he did with it? That still makes him a Nazi fascist you idiot!

"But what's perhaps more amazing is that the Times, ABC News and the rest of the mainstream press ran wih a bogus story they knew could severly damage Schwarzenegger's reputation without verifying the poisonous quote."

>>> Nothing 'amazing' at all. the story was based upon the transcripts from the '70's documentary... the producer went back and had the tapes re-listened to, and produced a corrected transcript (which he explained by saying that Arnold's thick accent, and low speaking style at the time made for difficulties in producing an accurate transcript from the tapes).

>>> When he corrected the transcript, the Times ran with the correction.

Arnold is not denying he said he admired Hitler. At least for his public speaking abilities. In reality, Arnold was probably torn in those days between his Nazi roots and his newfound liberalism. Now he is somewhere inbetween. Same with his treatment of women. He respects his wife yet humiliates other women. He is a mixed bag.

I was listening to the Sean Hannity show on Friday, I believe Curtis Sliwa, the head of the Guardian Angels was guest hosting. One of his guests said what really needs to be addressed here is the fact that the Los Angeles Times, with their "timely" release of this info on Arnold, was in effect, trying to change/influence the outcome of an election.

That is a GROSS misuse of their power.

Regards,

Bob

NY Times Retracts Arnold Hitler Bombshell

And you think now what he said is not so bad? Have you read the revised quote? Its worst than what I had thought. Let's put this in the right perspective.......Arnold is ambivalent about Hitler...of all people.

There are so many good people he could have chosen who came from nothing to become very powerful and who also are good speakers but Arnold chose Hitler to be one of the ones he admires. That's pretty bad considering that Arnold is Austrian like Hitler and should know better, and that Arnold's father was a Nazi.

I beginning to believe that we are seeing the last days of these great united states. We have a president starting wars on the flimiest of excuses and on a serious distortion of the truth. We have a guy running [and likely to win] the governorship of the largest state in the union who has few credentials for such a position, sexually harasses women and is ambivalent about Hitler......the most despicable leader in the last 100 years. We have a GOP party that is known for its fiscal conservatism but is running up one of the largest budget deficits in US history. And then there's you.

Its time to call a spade a spade. All great empires must come to end. Apparently, we are seeing the beginning of the end for this one.

And yes, Virginia, there is global warming! Deal with it!
