That story was a perfect example of what I mean. If such overt racism could have been kept "under the radar", then the harm would have been such as it was. Instead, they are now doing damage control with apologies and such in recognition that a pervasive social harm as taken place against an entire group.

Yes. Suppose a devout Muslim woman wanted only female doctors and nurses to attend her pregnancy. Would your hospital comply? Might be interesting to ask them how their policy would apply in light of the Abington situation.
