I think we can conclude that there are MANY opinions on the End of the Age. You are right to say -- let's not be so convinced we are 100% right so as to offend others in our speech.

I am going to post a few random (some perhaps even nutty) links to stimulate thought. I am not researching them, just posting. As you will see, there are so many opinions, that it will perhaps be very easy for Satan to fool the masses. Most "Christians" either know nothing, or they hold very firm beliefs which probably are not anywhere near 100% correct. Once again, the only thing I can see which would disqualify any deception would be the "all eyes will see Him" test with no television or internet used to accomplish that. ANYTHING else that happens, no matter how miraculous, and we should NOT believe it is from God. To believe in a rapture almost seems silly. IF it happens, then we will be face to face with God and need no other proof. If it does not, then we have set ourselves up for many deceptions.
I remain,

SOROS

I do not doubt that you are zealous for the Lord, but I would point out that Paul tells us in Colossians 4:6 to Let your conversation be always full of grace...

there are different styles of speech appropriate for different situations. there is far too much "tolerance" and appeasement in speech today and not enough preaching of the bold truth. don't forget, paul also wrote in his epistle to titus:

"For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision: Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake. One of themselves, even a prophet of their own, said, The Cretians are always liars, evil beasts, slow bellies. This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith; Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth."

Your words in this post do not make men thirst for more knowledge but instead may cause them to turn and walk away

perhaps. perhaps not. different men respond to different styles. i am often attracted to boldness of speech. oftentimes my eyes glaze over when i hear appeasing or conciliatory tones. it has never been politically correct to boldly speak the truth. nothing has changed in the past several thousand years. then the prophets were persecuted for speaking the truth and today simply making a factually based movie about the passion of Jesus will get you branded an anti-semite by the jews who run the NYT and the ADL.

there is a time and place for varying manners of speech. take the confrontation Jesus had with the scribes and pharisees in john 8 or matthew 23. Jesus called them fools and blind. he called them serpents and vipers. he said they were of their father the devil. those words uttered by the most loving man ever to walk the earth are considered hate speech today and the antichrists who run the ADL are doing today exactly what Jesus asked their fathers to do. they are filling up the measure of their fathers.

23:31 Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets.
23:32 Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers.
23:33 Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?
