Hey Soros,

the only thing I can see which would disqualify any deception would be the "all eyes will see Him" test

I agree. It will be pretty obvious that Christ has returned when the dead in Christ rise and we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.

1 Thessalonians 4
16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. 18 Therefore encourage each other with these words.

I think we can conclude that there are MANY opinions on the End of the Age. You are right to say -- let's not be so convinced we are 100% right so as to offend others in our speech.

the people who come across as if they are 100% convinced are exactly the people i have been rebuking. the hal lindseys, the john hagees, the jack van impes, tim lahayes etc.

there is far more about prophecy that i don't understand than that which i do understand. but a 100% complete understanding of biblical prophecy is not required to recognize a false prophet. all these false prophets clearly oppose and expose themselves if one has a spirit of truth and understanding. once one learns to interpret the bible in a spiritual sense rather than a carnal sense, one is able to spot false prophets in a matter of minutes. you do not have to be an expert in prophecy when their teachings contradict the fundamental principles outlined in the bible.

just because i can quickly rule out many false prophets doesn't mean i claim to have a complete understanding of prophecy, but it certainly helps to have a criteria for spotting false prophets, because then i don't have to waste time traveling down the wrong path.
