Yeah! Yeah! But there still is 'splaining to do.
Waited for this morning open interest figures.
(On futures markets, volumes and open interest are only known for the previous session. Yanno, clearing members have to collect the data, make their coocking, "net" the trades,... poor people seem to have no access to computers <ng>).

So, Dec futures volumes for Friday was: 111 839 contracts, or 55% of all open interest.
Hence, we could expect some reported positions to have closed, see some change in open interest. Well, that is what I would have expected.

Guess what? Open interest for end Thrusday session was 201 214, reported open interest for the end of Friday session 201 214 !!!!!!

Computer glitch? Once again?
These guys know how to let you in the dark.
Not funny!

Roebear,

I'm not much impressed with Maund, frankly. Generally, I've found him good to fade on the short-term calls.

Right now, I see a weak bounce in progress, but suspect POG will visit the low 350's before we start up again on the next big leg. That said, recently, I've done some selective buying of junior miners, when some issues dropped well off their highs (SML, GZZ, CZZ, SVL). Also jumped into SN. Note that SML, CZZ, and SVL are not "primarily gold" stocks.

Rock On, CBR.

Regards,
