David, That you don't see it as a moral wrong speaks volumes.

Liberals view conservatives as holding themselves to a higher moral standard. Hence the reason they only pounce on so-called "moralists" whenever they screw up. According to their relativistic beliefs, moral standards should be personal, not universal, and everyone ought to be judged by his or her own personal standards.

Once you start to understand this mindset, you'll start to understand liberals. Of course, I believe this mindset is wrong and ultimately leads to nihilism, but then again, I can't help being one of those pompous, self-righteous "moralists" myself. ;-)

If Limbaugh is addicted, we have no idea what his take on this subject would be post-addiction; these remarks were years ago.

So in your mindset <gg>>, his harshness on the topic is understandable if the comments were made before he himself could relate to the topic better through his own addiction. How many other topics about which he wails would be changed if he were the target of the wailing through personal experience? He and Bennett have this in common it seems.

I just think it more liberal hypocrisy -

I struggle to relate to how someone who just wrote what you wrote above could call anyone else a hypocrite...but then Rush does it, so why not you.

So where is the pity in his language re: drugs, drug addiction, Garcia, and the illegality of those who use? Does that only apply to others?

If Limbaugh is addicted, we have no idea what his take on this subject would be post-addiction; these remarks were years ago.

That's where empathy comes into play......a quality severely lacking in conservatives. When you have empathy, then and only then can you sympathize with others and also realize that you too can get into trouble.....emotionally, physically and financially.
