Confidential info is confidential no matter what. Remember it was lead zinc, not gold which is Newmont's main deal. I have left +10% lead-zinc in the bush, once in NW Ontario, and once in Timmins. Lots of showings go nowhere or are not high in PM's. But I am not telling you the location. Your metal zinc? OK, pay me to stake it. I will humour you. Steal if off me? Let's remain friends. It's that simple.

Remember the Williams property was not open, it was in the hands of Dr. Williams widow. LAc found out that the Corona people were after it but could not close at a decent price as they did not have the asking loot. Lac negotiated in bad faith behind Corona's back after learning of the plunge Corona's drilling into the Williams property. They lost a billion dollar mine (Lac) on word of mouth because the judge believed that no one invites people into an office with confidential information without the implicit fiduciary trust that there will be no independent action.

Same here. They looked at data. It could be specks on the surface of the moon. They weren't their specks they were Newmonts. Hands off.

Perhaps it is material, perhaps not. We shall see.

I have lost mines to these kind of criminals. KWG and ACA and others. Just don't ever talk a deal with criminals. It is that simple. Now I get them to sign a confidentiality that includes "all their usual business partners." Boy that stops a lot of people. Even if the deal goes to someone they know, those people are constrained, perhaps unbeknowst to them. I have found int his business there is a bit of magic. Don't talk about what you know about what is in the ground, and nobody will steal it. The crooks don't do their own reasearch they just steal other's efforts.
