The problem with people like Farmer is that you can't replicate them into an system that survives them.

Now you sound like that hobgoblin of conservative thought, a Marxist. In my world, they are the folk who say you shouldn't do what Farmers does.

I understand "Quicksilver" is a very long read.

Around 900 pages. And I've heard that it's meant to be the first volume of a trilogy.
