Stockalot, I also remember the postings of Don Lane years ago. Back then I was a staunch Brinker supporter often arguing with folks about how accurate I thought Brinker was. That opinion was based on tunnel vision and has since changed in a negative way as I've considered Brinker's full record. Back then I never believed those opinions that Lane was an alias for Brinker. I remember certain discussions that I had with Lane trying to read between the lines of Brinker on-air advice. Lane would often have a different opinion than what I had from listening to Brinker. Which only goes to show how difficult it was to decipher Brinker advice. The reason is because he is so vague and ambiguous often crafting his answers in ways that lack the specificity that you would expect from a professional. It is, however, what you would expect from a simple-minded tipster who leaves plenty of wiggle room for when he is proven wrong later. I came away feeling that Lane was just a big a**hole. It was much later that I felt the evidence was overwhelming that Lane was indeed Brinker incognito. Brinker's Web presence here was so offensive that he managed to infuriate many people and never earned any respect. The fact that he hid his true identity behind a fake "real name" only underscores the kind of charlatan he is. I have little respect for Brinker as a result.

Alot:"I've lurked here for quite a while." << Yeah, you've been on SI since "way back" in 2002. But, in your mind, that makes you an expert on this board. LOL!! My post concerned the hidden agendas of present bashers as opposed to the honest ideas of the bashers of the past. For some reason that ignited a pitiful few of your brain cells and you rant about Don Lane. I didn't mention Don Lane because he was not a basher of the past. I didn't mention your "hero" Kirk either because he was not a basher of the past. You see, in those days Kirk could promote himself better by being pro-Brinker. Now that the winds have changed, your "hero" Kirk has repositioned his sailboard to catch the anti-Brinker money. But, for you, it is apparent you buy in to the laughable conspiracy theory so it is obvious you are nothing more than an unthinking anti-Brinker fanatic. You missed the March call, huh? Oh well, some people are always making wrong choices in life. Jeff
