What do you think you need? Davis got elected, even though people disliked him, because he was so "qualified." He had spent his life in Sacramento Politics. And he was a disaster.

You need to be a "charger" who is able to get people to follow you and be willing to make tough decisions. The day to day administrative things will be done by appointees. His "Wilson" staff will point him to good people. I would staff the place right out of the "Hoover Institute" at Stanford. He is qualified.

The big battle coming up next year will be to get Republicans elected to the legislature to really change the direction of that Union run State. Until then, he will be able to stop the erosion, hold the line on taxes, and scare the present Democratic legislature into doing things his way.
