Neitz Jr who wrote (49386 ) 10/7/2003 10:49:59 PM From: Carl Worth Read Replies (2) | Respond to of 53068 if i ask someone a question i want their honest opinion, i would assume that BWAC does as well, though i can't speak for him...of course i know you guys like your battle of who can be the most cynical, so perhaps this is a theme which i just hadn't caught on to...on this thread i don't have to worry about getting too many answers i agree with <g> i don't know if arnold will be a good governor, i hope for CA's (and the nation's) sake he is, i think that the upside is that he is unencumbered by debts to special interests, along with the fact that he can't help but be more fiscally responsible than gray davis....i don't agree with repealing the vehicle registration tax "increase," as that tax was lowered when the state was prospering, and now that the state budget needs help, repealing that tax decrease and basically putting the tax back to the level where it was prior to the tax cut makes sense....like every other candidate, he has espoused repealing the tax increase, but hopefully someone will convince him to change his mind, even though in the short term it will cause a significant backlash one thing that i think is very likely to occur, is that like clinton getting a lot of credit for something that he had little to do with, the economy is now improving and technology in particular is improving quite a bit, which will help CA's economy and budget problems a lot, and many will give at least partial credit for that to the next governor, whoever he is, and whether he has much to do with it at all at least clinton had political experience, arnold has to start out with the full orientation, i hope he keeps a direct line to warren buffett in place at all times <g> carl
