The best thing to come out of this election (hopefully), will be allowing a financial wizard like Warren Buffet to audit and number crunch the California books. I cannot think of someone more qualified to do the job. The fact that he is willing to take on the job, says allot about his friendship with Arnold, and his desire to help the people of California.

One of the biggest problems we have as a society is our inability to draw on the amazing talent and resources of the private sector in state budgeting issues. If Arnold breaks down this paradigm even a little, the ripple effect could be felt all across the county.

I would love to see Washington State allow real independent performance auditing. The Democrat auditor of the state has been pushing for it for years, however, the Democrat Governor has been fighting against it even stronger. Why anyone, independent, liberal, conservative, green or anything in between would be against independent auditing is beyond my understanding. We know waste exists in government endeavors. So, why not draw on some of the sound business practices of the private sector and improve the way government operates? I just don't understand why people would be against it...

The left always harps on and on about waste in the military, e.g.500 dollar hammers and so forth. No doubt it exists. Yet, when it comes to other government programs, the last thing they want to see is auditing and improvement of processes.

Warren Buffet and his team, quietly standing behind Arnold Swartznegger, may be a watershed event in politics and change far more than California. They say trends start in California, it will be interesting to see how far this one goes.
