re: HIV in Muslim nations:

The Iran data you posted, indicated HIV is mainly spread there, by IV drug users, not sex. It may be spreading rapidly in that small subgroup, but it won't spread to the general population. The IV drug users may all die, but it ends there, in Iran. Only spread by heterosexual sex can cause the catastrophic rates seen in sub-Saharan Africa.

This can be thought of, as a war. Not between nations, but between species. The virus is defeating Homo Sapiens, in Africa.

One consequence of HIV in sub-Saharan Africa, may be the more-rapid death of their traditional cultures, replaced by fundamentalist Islam, and fundamentalist Christianity. Governments are failing, at any effective response. Their traditional cultures are causing self-destructive behavior. The fundamentalists of both religions have an ideology that changes behavior, and stops the disease. How else to explain the difference between Uganda and Egypt? Exact statistics are impossible to get, especially in poor nations, but the published rates are ballpark correct, imo.
