Bush didn't even mention Palestine for two years

You keep talking about this. It is idiotic.

Until we were ready to go to war against Saddam, there was nothing to be done about it, so why talk about it? Unless, of course, you would have supported us killing Arafat (the ideal solution).

Why expend the energy after what Arafat did with Clinton? It was obvious the Palestinians didn't want peace at that time. So, why bother? If you can't deal WITH Arafat, you deal around him. Which is what Bush did, which ultimately, will bring peace to the Palestinians.

Although, nothing would help the situation like another good Arafat heart attack or two. Why you defend these murdering terrorists I'll never understand.

Al,

Bush didn't even mention Palestine for two years and then did only as a political favor to blair. You can't succeed at something if you don't try. Same in NK.

How do you define success? In NK, we know that he will accept ransom and will lay low until the money runs out, and then he will accept another, bigger one. If US policy is going to be to yield to blackmail, that is

With Arafat, it is not even that simple. We can't even pay him off. There will be no progress while Arafat is in place.
