Hi Gottfried:

I know you've upgraded to XP for the O/S and I assume for office. I don't have XP. I can still send myself excel files.

When I save an excel file its automatic as an excel workbook (although when I open windows explorer is shows file type as an excel worksheet). I don't see the .xls (not sure why but in view, details this is all I see). Now I can save as a lower version of excel (although it looks like 2000 and 97 are the same) down to excel 4 and other file types).

I can be an overseas issue as both clients are in Europe (Dublin, London) but I still receive other London files (excel 2000 and lower with no issue) and its not word but excel. Wonder if VB macros are playing a part here.

Thanks

Tim
