The Administration has been relatively passive recently. I am glad it is changing tack. Big deal. Nor have I ever supported Novak's outing, nor have I ever seen it portrayed as a Democratic dirty trick. But feel free to drag in red herrings.......

The legions of bloviating pundits reliably putting out the line du jour every day just don't matter

Most people still get their news through CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN, NPR, BBC, The New York Times, The Washington Post, The LA Times, etc. None of which were exactly Republican stalwarts the last time I checked. So there's just a little bit of a tilt, and it doesn't favor this administration, however hard the right-wing pundits bloviate (besides, they're still outnumbered by the left-wing pundits, no slouches at bloviation).

BTW, can I check your terms? If Cheney and Bush are doing a "PR offensive" - what are the Democratic candidates doing?
