There's such a thing as tone and context, Jacob. Consider the following two sentences, "When I read your book, I get the impression that you think the State Department is worthless - that we should go and blow the whole place up" "It is the will of Allah that you go and blow up the State Department Building right away!" How do you know Pat Robertson isn't serious? Because he was paraphrasing the opinion of his guest - a political commentator who does not advocate change by violence.
