I just saw on he news that Sharon has stated that deporting Arafat would be bad for Israel,

since they have him in a defacto prison now, why would they want to set him free?

I have always said that part of Sharon's genuis was imprisoning Arafat without the world condemnation that would have accomplanied arresting him, and then staging a trial which would just be another stage for the stooge.
