I agree with most of your characterizations of Brinker. But remember we're talking about the stock market here. People are going to be wrong at times. It's to be expected. How Brinker handled being wrong was a testament to his lack of skill and understanding.

The problem I have is that Brinker misleads people into a mistaken belief that he's better than average and that he has an understanding of risk. Based on the failed trades that he stumbled through it's now a proven fact that Brinker knows nothing about risk and is a very poor trader with no real trading skills. He has now even admitted to this fact since he no longer will give short term timing tips. Sadly, many discovered his lack of trading skill too late to avoid massive losses.

It's very troubling to me that Brinker seems to have learned nothing new over the last several years. He's advanced in age to the point where he's not going to learn anything new and he's not going to change his ways. His best days are behind him. It's time for Brinker to pass the torch on to someone with a better mastery of the market and who can speak to people with an open conscience.

But I don't think he will. I think Brinker will fade from the scene with a raised middle finger to all those who want to learn from his successes and failures.
