Jacob, when I abandon parental ideas, it's a long stretch to call it cultural genocide. People who have experienced actual genocide which means actually killing people against their will would not consider the comparison similar.

Adopting the Singapore model would mean many changes, such as being allowed to charge interest and allowing foreign investment, ownership and control. That's antithetical to Islamic dogma, so yes, until the Moslems ditch Islamic superstitions, they will not do well compared with more rational societies. Such as that of Lt Gen Gumby or whatever his name was, who at least has a real god and not just an idol. Giggle...

One of the reasons, perhaps the main reason, the Muslim Malays are living in peace with their large Chinese minority is the emerging Chinese superpower looming in the north.
