You think AMD ASPs were up >10%? Well I can verify a big jump in the last week (~5% on Bartons). /Petz

re: " Based on the conference call, I would say the odds are pretty high that AMD *lost* unit market share but *gained* revenue market share."

This got me a little curious to look at some of the reported values:

	Microprocessors Flash
AMD Intel %AMD AMD Intel %AMD

1Q03 468 5760 7.51% 398 473 45.7%
2Q03 402 5833 6.45% 391 465 45.7%
3Q03 503 6838 6.85% 424 450 48.5%

Notes: AMD values direct from reported categories except$180M added for1Q and 2Q for Fujitsu portion of flash.
Intel values are for the Intel Architecture Group (CPU, chipsets, motherboards, etc.) and Wireless Communication Group.
All data taken from nice tables here based on company reported values: epscontest.home.comcast.net
