Hi Lizzie, nope. I have VOD the real thing. It's called On Demand with Time Warner Cable. Basically, On Demand has almost every movie that Blockbuster has, only they become available about 3 months after Blockbuster gets them.

The way it works is I can choose from any and I can start watching it any time. I can pause, rewind, fast forward. Stop it and watch it later...all from my remote that controls my cable box. It costs $3.95 per movie and I get an 8 hour window to watch it from the time I buy it. It not Pay Per View. It VOD, the real deal. I've had it for a year now.

Lizzie,

But I have comcast out here and they are just getting started up after taking over the service from AT&T, maybe time warner is more advanced.

Massachusetts also now has Comcast (from AT&T from Cablevision) and it has added what you would likely call true VOD in just the last couple of months. Movies come in a full spectrum of types of service, each presumably with its own available lineup. (Straight cable, premium cable services, pay per view in two formats, VOD for both straight cable and premium cable services)

Regards, Don
