Based upon the fact no autopsy was done and the reports of the coroner, Mary Jo did not drown. She died of asphyxiation. The timeline of events and eye witness reports of Kennedy, his state of dress and all other evidence demonstrate Kennedy was not in the car when it went into the water. The real story is so cowardly toxic that teddy lied about the entire scenario of events. This is based upon what I have read and seeing a PBS special that did a complete forensic time line of what witnesses saw and when they saw it. This matched with the teddy tales make the lies obvious. The teddy family had a complete fix fabricated.
