Several vendors on Pricewatch now have the P4 3.2/800 below $420. I think the official predicted price cut date was 10/26.
See theinquirer.net Its hard to imagine Intel won't have a CPU at the $600+ point. Will it be the P4EE, Prescott 3.2, Prescott 3.4 or nothing?

Jim,

with the reviewer sites comparing the 32 bit performance of the AMD64 and Intel32 chips, Intel has already won without Prescott. Intel doesn't need 64 yet.
