Going into the streets against a regime can work once it has picked up certain aspects of modernity - that's what happened with the Soviets.

It seems to me you are making an excellent case for "butterball turkey" strategy. I like it.

It's not going to happen in Korea and it wasn't going to happen in Iraq.

And why is that? Can you tell me why it is you don't think helping NK to become a modern state will not lead to a diminished will of its corrupt leaders to spill blood with the end results of their eventual permanent change for the better?
