"Like where did the universe come from? Boggles the mind."

Well, this has always been the essential puzzle: why is there something rather than nothing?

Still, it is really no different than why are there no unicorns instead of unicorns. Unicorns have as much likelihood as anything else which are not. The fact that something exists really adds no support to the idea that something ought logically to exist as a creator of it. Otherwise, the creator would logically require a creator and ad infinitum.

So existence does not require us to favour any one imaginary possibility over any other.

A thorough reading of the following excellent link nudges me toward the belief that agnosticism is logically weak. I don't mean that agnostics are intellectually weak! But it would seem that the nature of logic favours a more equivocal stance...

Fascinating. Because even though you are sure the tooth fairy isn't a reality, little children who have experienced the "manifestations" of the tooth fairy are very sure- and they probably think they "know"- because they've got evidence. For them the tooth fairy is very real. It's possible we are all believing in our own personal tooth fairy reality. No way to prove we aren't, and quite a lot of evidence that we are- given the starkly contrasting realities we live in (if you give any credence at all to the reports other people give of their realities).
