Brent, Needing, and wanting, Jesus as my Lord and Savior, is only one, but a critical one, aspect of a Christian attitude. According to the words of Jesus, quoted in writing, by those that lived, ate, and traveled, with Him, He is the light that leads us to our final destination. I believe these words because they were written by those that were physically, and spiritually, with Him when they were said. The fact that this account of these words of Jesus is in the bible, is merely coincidental as far as I am concerned.

With belief in Jesus, the, so called, Christian attitude is something one can know, and do, without the words of the bible. In many cases, it is not necessary to read the bible to know, and believe in, Jesus. Some have had personal events that showed them His presence, and saving grace, without having ever read the bible. I have read it, from cover to cover, several times, and just discover more inconsistencies with every reading.
