This French-made Durandal anti-runway bomb was found in Iraq. The advanced missile is designed to fire itself straight downward using rocket assist to penetrate concrete runways and explode underground. The bomb was found in a cache of nearly 30 such weapons.

French bomb fuses with packing slip stating they were manufactured on Jan. 5, 2001, were put in a box listing year of manufacture as 1987.
