How much does it cost to reduce it to a level that would meet majority of those polled? Does McCain or Lieberman have those figures?

The cost of the economy, over an event that may have very little to do with CO2 emissions: First, the United States has reduced its greenhouse emissions from all time highs, recorded during the Clinton Administration. It is interesting to note that, Europeans (who gave this president a hard time on Kyoto and greenhouse gas emissions) have increased their own production of greenhouse gasses each year of the Bush 43 Administration (don't know about 03), at the same time, greenhouse emissions have been decreasing from the USA. Second, several other bodies (other than earth) in the solar system are undergoing planetary warming. Third, the output of the sun has been increasing for the past 30 years. Fourth, the most important greenhouse gas is water vapor - which would still be produced in great quanity from a "hydrogen economy".
