Do you have to go through the same rigorous process if you buy a gun at a gun show? Or if you are the D.C. sniper and buy one at a store that doesn't keep any records?

If it were up to the NRA there would be no common sense gun laws at all. You could buy a gun whenever you wanted if you were in a jealous rage then go and shoot someone. The NRA create a lot of gun deaths in this country, whether they ever admit it or not. I'd like to be able to buy a gun, but only after I'm checked out and made to wait.
