You propose preventing Wellstone admirers from being involved in the nomination?

Angry liberal Wellstone types are the LAST types we want getting anywhere near the nomnination.

You're too late for that.

You must be among those who swallowed the media assassination of the Wellstone memorial. To catch up, read Franken's book on the lies told by those who were not present and didn't see it, but claimed endless slanderous things that were supplied by GOP operatives, but weren't true.

Polls showed Wellstone winning, in addition to his lonesome and heroic battle against what is now obvious Administration extortion. Bush Sr. called him an "assh*l" and he was targeted by GOP for elimination from the race by whatever means necessary to maintain control of the Senate.
I didn't know much about him until a couple years ago. It turns out he was an honestly grassroots citizen politician with a commitment to the idea of public service, in the same way the "West Wing" attempts to sentimentalize. But Wellstone was real.

If his wife hadn't been killed along with him, she'd be in office today. It's also certain that but for both of their deaths the Patriot Act, Iraq war, a couple $Trillion in upcoming budget decisions, and most importantly, the 9/11 investigation would have been vastly different.
