This is Bush's election to lose. I don't see him having much more support than he had in 2000, and that left the Dems ahead (behind?)on the popular vote.

It's going to boil down to a state by state battle. The states that went for Bush last time by more than 57% will likely stay Bush, while the dem will likely get all the states that Gore did by a large majority. That will leave the close states, like Florida, Tennessee, New Mexico and a few others in the Mississippi basin through the heartland.

Now if there are shenanigans going on in some of these states ala Florida 2000 and Katherine Harris, then trouble could be brewing ahead.
