Look Tejek, you and Al didn't live through it...or were not of meaningful age.

Get this and ...

1. Viet Nam was a mistake.
2. We lost because we didn't pull out all the stops to win.
3. If you don't do that, don't bother.
4. Antiwar protestors undermined the war effort. I'm not saying they shouldn't have since we were screwing up in the first place.
5. Nixon got us out and ended the draft maybe not as fast as some would have liked.
6. Kennedy and Johnson escalated the war. Johnson was probably the worst all around president we ever had. Between He and Kennedy the set the seeds for a lot of the problems we have to day, foreign and domestic.

7. The key turning point that I and most historians saw at the time is that when we stopped boming Hanoi and it's supply lines the tide turned in favor of the Cong and North Vietnamese Army.

8. So yes, the military morons of the day like Robert McNamara really let our boys down. When I think of Johnson and McNamara my stomach turns.
