I think your impression is the same as mine, that 2200 sq ft isnt that big. My guess would be that there is a range. Where I live on the outskirts of Seattle there have been a few developments down the hill from me, where my guess is the sq footage is maybe as small as 2200-2400 sq ft. They are boxy and cheaply built and I think would qualify as mcmansions. And on the east side where Microsoft is there are huge developments of homes that are much larger than that, than I still think would qualify as mcmansions.
